He was predeceased by his son Billy and brother-in-law Lawrence "Sam" Ward.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will take place from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Sunday.  The Sackville Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will perform a memorial service at 7 pm Sunday evening.  Funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Monday April 8, 2013 at 2 pm.  Burial will follow in the Four Corners Cemetery at a later date.
