The death of Elsie Sears, age 94, widow of Locklyn Sears, occurred at
Barrhead Alberta on Monday, November 3, 2003
Born in Sackville, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Isabel (McQuinn) Griffin. Elsie was a stenographer for many years working with Enterprise Foundry and JL Black and Sons in Sackville. She is a member of Main St. Baptist Church.
Elsie is survived by 4 daughters, Isabell (Victor) Pringle, Fort Assiniboine, AB, Doris (Wendell) Cole, Sackville, Dawn (Norman) Lange, Prince George, BC, Sharon Lowney, Brantford, ON, 5 sons, Peter (Rose), Saint John, NB, Darrell (Jean), Branftord, ON, Wendell, Stoney Creek, ON, Justin Griffin, Brantford, ON and Brian (Janette), Saint John, NB and a step son Edwin Sears, Nome, Alaska, USA, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The remains are in transit from Alberta to rest at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) with visitation Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 8, 2003 at 11 am, Pastor Scott Chatterson officiating. Burial in the Sackville Cemetery.
