Ethel Louise Bulmer, age 83, of Sackville, and formerly of Peoples
Park Tower, Moncton, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones
on Sunday, February 15, 2009, at the Drew Nursing Home. Born in
Sackville, she was a daughter of the late Lorne and Marion (Tower)
Estabrooks.
She was a very active member of the West Lane United Baptist Church, Moncton, a life member of the WMS of West Lane, as well as one of the founding members of the Friendship Circle Seniors Group. Ethel was an active volunteer at Peoples Park Tower where she enjoyed playing cards.
She is survived by 1 son, Ronald (Marilyn) Bulmer, Kitchener, ON; 3 daughters, Sharon (Boyce) Ward, of Moncton, Sandra Bamford, of Moncton, and Shelia (Don) McGowan , Burlington, ON; 4 brothers, Lewis (Pauline), William (Inez), and Robert, all of Sackville, and Jack (Isabel) of Saskatchewan; 9 sisters, Margaret (Murven) Bulmer, Ottawa, ON, Barbara (Chester) Wheaton, Cambridge, ON, Eva (Ernest) Bowser, Sackville, Grace Allen, Sackville, Donna (Trevor) Wheaton, Sackville, Patricia (Everett) Estabrooks, Sackville, Betty Wyonch, Ottawa, ON, Carol (George) Estabrooks, Sackville, and Joan (Ronald) Jones, Moncton; 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Harley, an infant son, a brother Bonar, and a sister Joyce.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (364-1300), where visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 19, 2009, at 11 am, Pastor Scott Ryder officiating. Burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring.
