The passing of Ivan Webb, 80, of Dorchester, occurred peacefully at home in the arms of his family on Saturday, May 10, 2008.

Born June 7, 1927 in Tracey, NB, he was the son of the late Elliott and Dora (McCleary) Webb.

A member of the Dorchester Baptist Church and past Master of Sussex Lodge #4 F & A M. He worked at the Dorchester Penitentiary for over 34 years and enjoyed fishing, gardening, & golf.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Corinne, Dorchester; sons, Charlie (Doris) Richard , Rogersville, Danny (Linda), Sackville, David (Marita), Sackville, Peter (Elaine), Lawrencetown, NS; daughters, Dianne Higgins, Orleans, ON, Debra (Michel Lamontagne), Dorchester, Patricia (Laurie) Hicks, Fairfield, 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; stepchildren, Corie O'Donoghue, Donna (Frank) Brown, Christine (Rob) Dow & Lorna (Kevin) Morre, all of Saint John, Susan (Al) Campbell, Quispamsis, Hudson (Pat) Earle, ON, Mark (Melanie) Earle, Norton, 12 grandchildren; brothers, Andrew (Effie), Moncton, Norm (Joanne), Fredericton. He was predeceased by his first wife Maebelle in 1988, brother Don, sister Shirley, and two grandchildren, Jennifer & Belinda.

Visitation will be at the Jones Funeral Home, Sackville, (364-1300) 7-9pm Tuesday, May 13, 2008. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home, Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 2pm. Burial to follow in the Dorchester Rural Cemetery.
