The family of June Trueman is
saddened to announce her passing on July 13, 2026. She
passed away quietly at Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home in Saint John,
NB. Born in East Amherst NS on June 5,1933, she was the
daughter of Billy and Mae (Fage) Wells.
She was predeceased by her parents, first husband Max Gray,
and her second husband Ken Trueman. She is survived by her
brother Walter Wells, daughter Dr Susan Gray (Ted McCleave), son
Howard Gray, grandchildren Mei Ling, Xian Ming, Katie, Sarah, and
Benjiman, and great grandchildren Evan and Charlotte.
She went to school in Warren NS, and then attended a
secretarial course in Amherst NS. She worked as a legal
secretary, and then as a full time homemaker.
She enjoyed her time living with Ken in Dorchester.
She was a member of the UCW and IODE, and did a lot of baking for
those organizations and the Legion. Her biggest passions
were knitting, needlepoint, and gardening.
June and Ken went on many trips, across Canada and the USA,
Europe, and Alaska, yet she always preferred being at home, and having
family together for meals.
She moved to Saint John later in life, and lived at the Loch
Lomond Villa for seven years. The family would like to
express sincere thanks and appreciation for the great care and
consideration she received while there.
Funeral arrangements are being taken care of by
Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge
Street, Sackville NB. Visiting hours will be held
at Jones Funeral Home, 12-2 pm on Sunday July 19, with a funeral to
take place at 2 pm. Burial to follow in the Point de Bute
cemetery.
