June 16, 1937 – Dorchester, New Brunswick

September 30, 2025– Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Ella (Shea) Milton, who passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the age of 88, in Calgary, AB.

Born in Dorchester, NB, on June 16, 1937, Margaret was the daughter of the late Russell and Osithe (Dupuis) Shea. She grew up in Woodhurst, NB, in a close-knit family with eight siblings.

Margaret was married to her beloved late husband, Terrence Milton. Together, they shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and shared passions—enjoying bus trips, bluegrass festivals, card games, gardening, and, most importantly, raising their family with care and devotion.

Following Terrence’s passing in 2000, Margaret relocated to Calgary, AB, where she spent her later years. She worked in Guest Services at Chinook Centre Mall, where she became a warm and familiar face to many in the community.

Family was always at the heart of Margaret’s life. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Theresa (Patrick) Johnson, Terrence (Diane) Milton, Timothy Milton, and Todd Milton. She was a devoted grandmother to Terrence (Jacqueline) Johnson, Lana Johnson, Brandon Milton, and Kendra Milton, and a proud great-grandmother to Amelia and Zoey Swindell, and Jacob Milton.

Margaret is also survived by her siblings, Charlie Shea, Alice (Wayne) Crossman, and Catherine Shea; and by her sisters-in-law, Claudette Shea, Rita Shea, Debbie Shea, Sandra Trubiano, Judy (Bob) Roseberg, Heather (Ron) Duford, and Meegan (Leigh) McDonnell. She will also be fondly remembered by her special neighbour and friend, Jean Franklin, as well as by many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Terrence, Margaret was predeceased by her siblings, Ronald, Larry, Joseph, Everett, and sister Theresa Shea; her brothers-in-law, Garth Milton and Truby Trubiano; her sisters-in-law, Janine Shea and Jean Shea; and her nephew, Ricky Shea.

Margaret’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the countless memories she created and in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the staff at the Seton AgeCare Home for their compassionate care and kindness.

A Funeral Service will take place at Jones Funeral Home, Sackville, on Saturday, August 15th at 11:00am.
