It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of
Wade Luther Duncan, 59, of Sackville. Wade died at his home on Sunday,
May 4, 2025. Born in Saint John, he was the son of Doreen (Fillmore),
and the late Frank Duncan.
Wade was an avid outdoorsman and spent many great times with
his friends, hunting, fishing and camping. His favourite times were
spent with his dogs, Toy and Lucy. He was a proud Canadian who was
very knowledgeable about our military and it's history and loved to
share his knowledge. He and his wife spent a memorable few weeks in
Europe, visiting war museums and memorials. It was his greatest wish
to get back and see more.
His daughters meant the world to him and he was looking
forward to spending time with his grandson and teaching him how to be
a 'redneck'.
Wade will be dearly missed by his wife, Alison (Bulmer); his
daughters, Catherine Duncan and Laura (Ben) Chaplin and their son,
Spencer; his mother, Doreen; his sisters, Cheryl (Gerry) Richard and
their children, Jacob, Lindsey, and Jared, Rhona (Paul Hall) Rae, and
Trina McCleary, as well as his brother, Jason.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by his brother,
Shawn.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral
Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300). An afternoon of
remembrance will be held from the funeral home on Friday, August 22,
2025 from 2-4 pm.
