It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Stephen Rayworth, 68, of Port Elgin and formerly of Upper Cape, NB at the Westford Nursing Home on Sunday, December 22, 2024.  Born, August 21, 1956, Gary was a son of Iva (Wood) and the late Worthen Rayworth.

Gary remained a bachelor his entire life. He was a Red Seal Truck Technician but his true passion was driving transports.  He enjoyed assembling truck models and was a terrific story teller and jokester.

Gary will be dearly missed by his mother, Iva (Wood), Port Elgin; his brother, Warren (Mary) Rayworth, Riverview, as well as a niece and nephew and close friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Worthen; a brother, Larry; a sister Carol Ann, and a niece Bridget.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, Sackville and Port Elgin.  A time of visitation will take place from their Port Elgin location, 3 West Main Street, on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 1-3 pm with a service to follow at 3.  Interment to take place in the Bayfield Cemetery in the spring.

Donations in memory of Gary may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice..
