It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Terry Mackenzie, 64, of Petit-Cap, NB at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday, October 13, 2024.  Born in Cape Spear, Terry was a son of the late Leslie and Margaret (Stewart) Mackenzie.

Terry was a kind and funny man with sarcastic wit and could always be counted on for a clever comeback to anything.  He was a loving father, his girls were his world and he always looked forward to visits with them and his grandchildren to be able to just talk and catch up.  He was hardworking, whether he was in the fishing boat or building one.  He enjoyed his solitude and tinkering in his shop.  He was always ready and available to lend a helping hand, but not too proud to accept the generous help from a few close and loving friends, especially over the last couple of years. Terry was able to maintain a relaxed demeanor, during good times and bad, but as always, remained his stubborn but loveable self.

Terry will be dearly missed by his children, Terri (Jacob Briggs), Haley (Derick Baker),  and Kodi MacKenzie as well as their step-mother and mother, Jenni LeBlanc; his grandchildren, Lincoln, Ellie-Rose and Finley; his siblings, Reggie, Leigh (Juliet), Stacey and Lorraine as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Dolly, Bertha, and Velma and a brother Dean as well as his brother-in-law, James "Jimmy".

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300).  Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at the Cape Tormentine Legion on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 4-6 pm.

For those who wish to do so, donations to the family to assist with expenses would be appreciated.

Memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting the online memorial at www.jonesfuneralhome.ca or through the Jones Funeral Home Facebook Page.
