It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Kevin Ronald Chapman, 64, of Midgic, New Brunswick, on October 10th, 2024.

Kevin was born on July 13, 1960, to parents Ronald and Darlene Chapman in Amherst, Nova Scotia. He grew up in the Amherst area, graduating from Amherst Regional High School. Early on he showed a great aptitude for many things, most especially drumming which was a life-long passion, and the Air Cadets, where he earned his pilot’s license. He always had an interest in motorcycles and dirt bikes, as well as Uechi-Ryū karate, in which earned his 3rd degree blackbelt.

Kevin was a handy man, using his skills to fix just about anything for anyone who needed help. This also translated into his career, where he spent time working in several fields including trucking, manufacturing, and education.

He is remembered by his friends and family as hard-working, humble, kind, and a great listener. He could make friends with just about anyone anywhere at any time. Kevin was family and community oriented and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Kevin leaves behind his spouse of 24 years, Susan Ross Chapman; son Spencer Chapman (Tiffany); daughter’s  Melanie Chambers ( Chris) and Virginia MacInnis; grandchildren Kamdyn Chapman, Isla, Jack, and Eleanor Chambers. Forever remembered by his sister Donna McInnis, nephews Garret and Owen McInnis; beloved parents Ron and Darlene Chapman (nee Roberts) and uncle, Peter Roberts.

While we lost our most adored father, many others have lost a friend and loved one in him. Kevin’s passion for drumming led him to meet his Band Family, a group of people who are very special to the family. The family also wants to make special mention of Kevin’s Work Family, Karate Family, and his many friends and extended family.

Kevin is predeceased by special Uncle Doug Chapman, and Aunt Linda Chappel.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the hospital staff, paramedics, and fire services for their care and efforts.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300) from where a Celebration of Kevin's Life will be held on Sunday,  October 27, 2024 from 2-4 pm

Memorial donations may be made to the After the School Bell Food Program, Amherst, NS.

Sharing of memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting the online memorial at www.jonesfuneralhome.ca or through the Jones Funeral Home Facebook Page.
