It is with sadness that we announce the
passing of Frank Joseph Cormier, 86, of
Sackville on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at the Sackvile Memorial
Hospital. Frank was born April 8, 1938 in Shemogue, NB a son
of the late Frank and Zelie (Duguay) Cormier
Frank started his education in Canada
before moving to the United States where he worked as an orderly at a
local hospital then took a position as a Quality Control Officer for
manufacturing prior to returning to Sackville where he took up a job
as a grant appraiser with the town. He left for Florida in
1986 and returned again in 2012. Frank's last 11 years was
spent in Sackville with is partner Edna MacKinnon. Edna and
his family will sorely miss Frank.
Frank will be dearly missed by his two
daughters, Andrea Cormier, Hawaii, and Monica (Dave) Connoly, New
York; two grandchildren, Lauren and Nathaniel Connolly; his brother
Aime (Marie) Cormier, Oromocto, Henry Cormier, Amherst, Fred
(Patricia) Cormier, Halifax; a sister, Dolores Gottenberg and Gloria
Larsen, both of Nanaimo, BC, as well as several nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, Frank was
predeceased by his brother, Camille, and a sister in infancy,
Delima.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge
Street, Sackville, NB. A graveside service will take place
at a later date to be announced in the St. Timothee Roman Catholic
Church Parish Cemetery, Shemogue, NB.
