It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Steven Edward Smith, age 72.  Stevie passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

Born in Sackville, he was a son of the late Leslie and Violet (Tower) Smith.

Stevie worked for many years for Rockport Masonry.  A fun character, he loved to tease and spend time with his friends and family.  He enjoyed the outdoors, and enjoyed spending time with his dog around the yard and in the woods.  He loved to bowl and enjoyed playing at the Sackville Bowling Alley with his friends.

Stevie will be dearly missed by his wife Wanda Sterling, Cherry Burton; siblings Leslie Jr., Woodpoint, Betty Ward, Woodpoint, Carolyn (Dale) Patterson, Sackville, Elaine Morice, Woodpoint, Ruby (Donnie) Beal, Midgic, Billy, Woodpoint, Myrtle Bryden, Middle Sackville, Gladys (Donald) Cormier, Aboujagne, Charlotte (Gary) LeBlanc, Sackville; sister in law Donna Smith, Woodpoint, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Stevie was predeceased by his first wife Janice (Lewis) Smith; brothers, Jeff and Freddie; sisters, Rachael (Joe) Johnson and Marion (Errol) Daye; sister in law Shelly Smith.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).  In keeping with Stevie's wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services at this time.
