It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Emmerson Larry Estabrooks, age 79, of Sackville, NB.  Larry passed away at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Born in Midgic, he was a son of the late Homer and Therald (Hicks) Estabrooks.

He was employed by the Town of Sackville for many years.  He loved trains and took great pride in the life like train table he built in his basement.  Most often you would find him wearing a CN Engineer's hat.  He enjoyed cars and liked watching them be rebuilt. He loved watching the Nascar races on TV and was a collector of the diecast version of these as well as a variety of others.  Back in the Marshland Frolic days, every year he would build a go cart for his sons to race in and even won a few times.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Tracey Brownell (Allan Smith), Amherst; sons, Troy (Toby), Sackville and Todd, Sackville; grandchildren, Lesley, Taryn, Olivia, Jarren, Kalysta, and Kelsey; great grandchildren Cohen, Adelynn, Bria, Jonah; sisters Norma (Reg) Amos, Calgary, and Joanne (Merrill) Armstrong, Sault St. Marie, ON.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Charlene and one great granddaughter, Sara, in infancy.

The family would like to give a special thanks to his caregiver, Vicky Wells, allowing him to stay in the comfort of his home in his final years.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).   Cremation has taken place and a private family committal will take place in the Midgic Cemetery at a later date.

Those wishing to make a donation may do so to the charity of your choice.

Sharing of memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting the online memorial at www.jonesfuneralhome.ca or through the Jones Funeral Home Facebook Page.
