Ron was born on April 28, 1955 in Sackville NB, the son of Beryl (Faulkner) Wheeler and William Wheeler (deceased). Ron’s great passion was Quadrugby and he spent many hours playing and developing the sport in Nova Scotia, in partnership with the Canadian Wheelchair Sports Association. Ron married Sandra in 1984 and together they raised their three beautiful children in Dartmouth, NS.

He leaves behind his wife, Sandra (nee Ward); his children, Emily MacKenzie; Peter Wheeler (Christina); Carly Francis (Ryan). Grandchildren, Alexander and Jacob MacKenzie; Rose, Abram and Isla Wheeler; Audrey and Jasmine Francis.
