It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Garnet Trenholm, 82, of Moncton and formerly of Portage Vale, NB, at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Saturday, January 20, 2024.  Harold was born in Bayfield, NB, a son of the late Penman and Myrtle (Walton) Trenholm.

Harold was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating.  He had been an entrepreneur all of his life taking on many different endeavours.  He occasionally enjoyed a white cake for breakfast, yet maintained his trim physique.  He was a passionate man who loved to give his wife a nice kiss, and loved spending time with his family and his adored Shepherd, Niki.

A kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Harold will be dearly missed by his wife of over 60 years, Alein (nee Fields), Moncton; his children, Dwight (Beth) Trenholm, Sackville, Marcia (Andy) Weaver, Moncton, and Angela Rollings, Moncton; five grandchildren, Sarah (Jason), Rebecca (Zane), Jared, Gavin, and Kaitlin; five great grandchildren, Taylor, Ryder, Palmer, Declan, and Olivia, as well as his sister, Lois (Hartley) Estabrooks.

Besides his parents, Harold was predeceased by a great grandson, Cooper.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).  A funeral service will take place from the funeral home on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 2 pm.  Interment to take place in the Bayfield Cemetery on June 10, 2024 at 11 am.
