It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Heatley LeBlanc, 86, of Port Elgin and formerly of Petit-Cap, NB, on Christmas Day at the Westford Nursing Home.  Margaret was born in Melrose, a daughter of the late Kristopher and Agnes (Hall) Aasen.

Margaret was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was everything to her and her husband.  She had a big heart when it came to helping those in need and less fortunate.  She had a great sense of humour providing constant entertainment to her family, passing along numerous stories to her grandchildren.  During her career as a teacher, every student held a special place in her heart.  Eventually, she decided to retire in order to enjoy life with her husband and family.

Her true passion was traveling, and once retired, she and George loved to travel to different places.  She also enjoyed going to all different places to listen and watch her husband play music.

Margaret is survived by six children, Joanne (Daniel) Landry, Robichaud Office, NB, Gerry (Nancy) LeBlanc, Cormier Village, NB, Jean Bourque, Shediac, Jeannette (Tommy) Halloran, Trois-Ruisseaux, NB, Richard (Monique) LeBlanc, Moncton and Karen (Robert) Wells, Sackville; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, was predeceased by her husband, George; a grandson, Morgan; a brother Robert, and a sister Gina.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Homes, Port Elgin and Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).  Honouring Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place.  There will be a time of public visitation at Club d'Age d'Or, Shemogue on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 1-3:30 pm followed by a celebration of her life.

Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Sharing of memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting the online memorial at www.jonesfuneralhome.ca or through the Jones Funeral Home Facebook Page.
