It is
with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Coreen Alice Mary Allen at her residence
surrounded by her family in the early hours of December 25,
2023. Coreen was born in Upper Cape, NB, a daughter of the
late Melvin and Florence (Allen) Perry.
Born
May 21, 1942, Mom was a great cook, always baking for some event. She
had previously worked at Borden's Diner, Mark's Restaurant, and
cleaned cottages in the summers. She had also been a leader with the
girl guides of Canada for 35
years
Coreen will be sadly missed by 2 sons, Larry Verdell
Joseph Allen (Tammy), and Kevin Michael Allen (Lisa); 2 daughters,
Suzette Mary Ketchum and Kimberley Dawn Ann Pauley (Derek Parsons); 12
grandchilden, 8 great grandchildren; sister Mary Cook (Keith), and
several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband
Verdell Allen in 2002, her brother Ron Perry in 2010, and her nephew
Tom Cook in 2023.
We
would like to thank Dr. Landry and all the nurses at the Oncology
Clinic at the Moncton Hospital, Extra-Mural nurses and Palliative Care
Team in Sackville. A special thank you to Margaret and
Trina. Without them her wishes of being home would not have
been possible.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of
Jones Funeral Homes, Port Elgin and
Sackville, NB (506-364-1300). A graveside service will take
place in the St. Bartholomew RC Cemetery in Melrose, NB on Friday,
June 14, 2024 at 11:00am. Following the service a celebration
of her life will take place at her residence in Upper Cape, NB. The
family kindly invites everyone to join them in honouring Coreen's
remarkable life, and to share your cherished memories with them. Light
refreshments will be provided. All are
welcome.

Health Care Foundation, or a charity of one’s
choice.
