It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Coreen Alice Mary Allen at her residence surrounded by her family in the early hours of December 25, 2023.  Coreen was born in Upper Cape, NB, a daughter of the late Melvin and Florence (Allen) Perry.

Born May 21, 1942, Mom was a great cook, always baking for some event. She had previously worked at Borden's Diner, Mark's Restaurant, and cleaned cottages in the summers. She had also been a leader with the girl guides of Canada for 35 years

Coreen will be sadly missed by 2 sons, Larry Verdell Joseph Allen (Tammy), and Kevin Michael Allen (Lisa); 2 daughters, Suzette Mary Ketchum and Kimberley Dawn Ann Pauley (Derek Parsons); 12 grandchilden, 8 great grandchildren; sister Mary Cook (Keith), and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Verdell Allen in 2002, her brother Ron Perry in 2010, and her nephew Tom Cook in 2023.

We would like to thank Dr. Landry and all the nurses at the Oncology Clinic at the Moncton Hospital, Extra-Mural nurses and Palliative Care Team in Sackville.  A special thank you to Margaret and Trina.  Without them her wishes of being home would not have been possible.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Homes, Port Elgin and Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).  There will be no visitation or funeral services as per her request.  A graveside service will take place in the spring with a celebration of life to follow.
