It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Robert Fury, 75, of Port Elgin, NB and formerly of Aulac, NB.  Don passed away at the Westford Nursing Home, Port Elgin, on Monday, October 16, 2023. He was born in Sackville, a son of the late Winston and Alice (Tingley) Fury.

Don began working at Rowe's Esso, Aulac and continued working with other service stations until 2000 when he started as a custodian with School District #2 where he would remain until his retirement in 2015.  Don enjoyed walks, playing darts and would stay up until the wee hours enjoying a good game of cards.  He loved music and dancing.

Don will be sadly missed by his daughter, Sonya Fury, Aulac; brother, Kenneth (Sunday), Point de Bute; sisters, Doris Jones, Port Perry, ON, Vera-Lynn (Mark) Strathearn, Murray Corner, Heather Robichaud, Springhill, NS and Susan (Duane) Pauley, Westcock;  several brothers and sisters-in-law,  as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Besides his parents, Don was predeceased by a son, Kirk in 2019; his brothers, Ronald, George, Winston, Keith, David, and Brian, as well as his sisters, Alma, Marilyn, Gail, and Kim.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300), from where a time of visitation will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 7-9 pm.  A funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 1 pm with interment to follow in the Point de Bute Cemetery.  Rev. Byron Corkum presiding.
