It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Erma Jean Bulmer, age 92, of Sackville, NB. Erma passed away at the Drew Nursing Home on Thursday, August 31, 2023.

Born in Centre Village, NB, she was a daughter of the late Arden and Ruby (Chase) Hicks.

Erma was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She enjoyed cooking for everyone as well as knitting, including having made many mittens for her family.  She loved playing dominos at the Drew with her friends as well as colouring for Christmas and Easter time.

Erma will be dearly missed by her children, Dale (Simonne), Danny (Michelle M.) and Heather (Donald) Estabrooks, all of Sackville; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Stokes and a brother-in-law, Charlie (Shirley) Bulmer as well as many nieces and nephews.

Erma was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank; one son Colin; her brothers; Calvin (Frances), Carmen (Gracie), Merlyn (Catherine), Floyd (Eunice), and Roland (Nita), as well as one sister; Daphna (Richard) Harvey.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).  A time of public visitation will be held from the funeral home on Monday, September 4, 2023 from 6-8 pm.  A funeral service for Erma will take place on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 2 pm with interment to follow in the Sackville Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Erma may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
