It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Isabel Lois Pauley, age 91, of Timber River, NB. Isabel passed away suddenly at the Moncton Hospital surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
Born in Chapmans Corner, NB, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Eugenie (Simpson) Taylor.
Isabel grew up on her family farm in Johnston Point, where she developed a strong work ethic that she maintained throughout her life and passed on to her family. After graduation from high school, she worked at Eaton's in Moncton. After she married, she was glad to move back to the shore, living in Timber River for the next 67 years. Isabel worked at the Port Elgin Elementary School for 20 years as secretary. She was a dedicated mother, loved her flowers, reading, walking (right up until the day she passed), and loved to host visitors, especially the visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by daughters Sharon (David) Trainor, Upper Coverdale, NB, Lucinda Blacklock (Jim Hargreaves), Sackville, NB; daughter in law Jackie Pauley , Komoka, ON; grandchildren Bethany, Jessica, Jordan, Shaun, Kendra and Rachel, great grandchildren Kayden, Jamie, Claire, Eli, Kellen, Ferren, and Cali; brother Gerald (Maria), New Castle, ON; sister Jessie Coates, Amherst; Sister in law, Abbie Taylor, Parkhill, ON, Olive Taylor, Sarnia, ON; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Ivan; son Andrew; grandson Nathan Trainor; brothers Carman and Earl; sisters Lily Sundby and Hester Allen.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, Sackville and Port Elgin, NB (506-364-1300). A time of public visitation will be held from the Port Elgin location, 3 W. Main Street, on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm. Her funeral service will be held at the Port Elgin location on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 2 pm.
For those who wish to do so, donations in memory of Isabel may be given to C.A.R.M.A, or the Trinity United Church, Port Elgin.
