It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Melville Turner, 70, of Truro, NS on Sunday, April 30, 2023, with his family by his side, at the Colchester East Hants Health Care Centre.  Born in Sackville, Larry was a son of the late Douglas Turner and Elizabeth "Betty" (Hastie, Turner) Crowe..

Larry was a caring and devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He enjoyed assembling model cars and trucks, and liked to read his bible, have coffee with friends and taking long drives.  He was an avid gardener with a bountiful vegetable garden each year.

Larry was a member of the militia in his earlier years.  He had started working with Marven's Bakery and then with various grocery stores as Produce Manager up to his retirement.

Larry will be dearly missed by his wife of nearly 21 years, Dianna (formerly Raye), of Truro; one daughter, Ashley (John) Turner, Truro; two grandchildren, Hannah and Grayson; a son-to-Larry, Tony White, Amherst, and his Aunts, Ella Ripley and Agnes Read, as well as several cousins.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300), from where a public visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 1 pm until the time of the funeral service at 2 pm.  Interment will follow in the Baie Verte Cemetery.

Donations in Larry's memory may be made to the Canadian Lung Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Sharing of memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting the online memorial at www.jonesfuneralhome.ca or through the Jones Funeral Home Facebook Page.
