It is with great sadness that the family
of Evelyn Doreen Pauley, age 87, of Sackville, NB, announce her
passing at the Moncton Hospital surrounded by her loving family on
Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
Born in Jolicure on the farm, daughter
of the late William and Bessie (Thomson) Beck who came to Canada in
1927 from Belfast, Ireland and settled on the family farm in
Jolicure.
After graduating from Port Elgin High
School, Evelyn majored in a commercial course and moved to Sackville
where she worked as a secretary for W. C. Murray who was the secretary
for Enterprise Foundry. She later worked for Armco Drainage
and for the chairman of the new Mount Allison Library. In
her later years she enjoyed working at her son's jewelry
store. Evelyn was a longtime member of the United Church and
a longtime member of the Beausejour Chapter of the
IODE.
Evelyn was a beautiful cook and loved to
garden. She enjoyed spending time with her close friends and
neighbors. She and Orland loved taking drives in the
country, visiting friends and enjoying a meal out.
She will be dearly missed by her
daughter, Gaelene Pauley and her children Jory and Emmy; son Duane
(Susan) Pauley and their children Nicole (Alex), Chantel (Chris) and
Justin (Laura); daughter in law Charlene Pauley and her children Lacey
(Jacob) and Jason (Natalie); 11 great grandchildren; siblings Ron
(Jackie) Beck, Whitby, ON, Garnet (Lois) Beck, Thunderbay, ON, Marion
Mountain, Vancouver Island, BC.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased
by her husband Orland; son Stephen; sisters Blanche Miner and May
Spence and brother James Beck.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB,
(506-364-1300) where her funeral will take place on Friday, April 14,
2023 at 11 am, followed by a reception and time of fellowship, Rev.
Lloyd Bruce officiating. Burial will take place in the Point
De Bute Cemetery with her husband Orland in the spring.

made to Diabetes Canada; Parkinson Canada; or Alzheimer's Society of
New Brunswick.
