It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mary Elizabeth Alta Mallery, 78 of Woodside, NB, at her home on Saturday, January 7, 2023.  Born in Gaytons, NB, Elizabeth was a daughter of the late Rufus and Marion (Breau) Hicks.

Elizabeth had been an active member of the CWL for St. Clements Roman Catholic Church.  She enjoyed knitting and was an excellent baker and cook.  She was active out doors and spent a lot of time in the woods, and looked forward to taking a sleigh ride in the winter.  She was a devoted and caring wife, mother and grandmother.

Elizabeth will be dearly missed by her husband of fifty-two years, Robert Mallery, Woodside; four children, Albert, St. Andre-LeBlanc, NB, Jerry, Aulac, Joanne (Timothy) Boleyn, Moncton, and Andrew (Cindy), Woodside; eight grandchildren, Daniel, Aidan, Rory, Elijah, Isiah, Nathaniel, Matthew and Samarah; a brother in law, John (Verna) Mallery, as well as sisters-in-law, Thelma (Elmer) Marchuck, Shirley (Norm) Tattrie and Merin Potter and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Sarah in 1986; a brother, Irvin, a sister, Myrna McKay, and an aunt, Yvonne Breau.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Homes, Sackville and Port Elgin, NB (506-364-1300).  A time of public visitation will be held from the Port Elgin location on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.   A funeral service will be held at St. Clements Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday at 11 am with a reception to follow at the funeral home.  Elizabeth will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery in the spring.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Society.

Sharing of memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting the online memorial at www.jonesfuneralhome.ca or through the Jones Funeral Home Facebook Page.
