Pamela
Jean Marsh, age 84, currently of Sackville, New
Brunswick, formerly of Bonavista and St. John's, Newfoundland, passed
peacefully away at her home on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 with her
daughters Karen and Krista by her side after being diagnosed with
Alzheimer's Disease in 2009.
Born in Bonavista,
Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Emily (Ford)
Little.
Pam was a teacher,
school principal, church organist, avid berry picker, accomplished
baker and talented knitter and
crocheter.
Pam had an abundance
of energy, walking fast wherever she went. Pam loved company
and prepared many delicious Jiggs Dinners for friends and family over
the years, taking salt meat, split peas and spices with her on her
travels. She made the best tea buns, gingerbread cookies and
lemon meringue pies.
Pam had a great
sense of humour and positive attitude. She was an active
member in her church and United Church Women her whole life long and
enjoyed Salvation Army services on Sunday
evenings.
Pam lovingly cared
for her husband and then her mother during their respective
illnesses.
She loved the
outdoors, traveling, playing games and ice cream. Pam adored
her daughters and grandson, and they loved her dearly in
return. Pam was an amazing aunt, sister and
friend.
Pam will be greatly
missed by her daughters Karen Marsh and Krista (Karl) Thompson, both
of Sackville, New Brunswick; grandson Max; sisters Grace Hillier,
Wolfville, Nova Scotia and Valerie Strickland, Bonavista,
Newfoundland; sister-in-law Genny Little, Corner Brook, Newfoundland;
as well as several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and
her special friend Meta Bullen, St. John's,
Newfoundland.
She was predeceased
by her loving husband Max in 1994; brother Carl Little;
brothers-in-law Charles Hillier and Douglas
Strickland.
Special thank you to
Dr. Véronique Robichaud and the nurses of the Sackville
Extra-Mural Program for their care and support over the last eight
years.
