Born in Alberton, PEI, he was a son of the late Clarence and Ethel (Moran) Murphy.

Boyne was a transplanted islander, moving to Port Elgin when he was 5 years old, but he never forgot his roots.  He loved the outdoors, time in the woods, hunting (sleeping in his crows nest) and fishing.  He was a welder/pipe fitter for CN/Marine Atlantic up until his retirement in 1997.  Following his retirement he began working for himself and was well known in the area as the "man to call".

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Patsy, Port Elgin; sons, Patrick (Emily Reade), Port Elgin, Duane (Angie White), Oshawa, ON, Joshua (Kelsie), Port Elgin; grandchildren, Sierra, Cadance, Gavin, Ava, Damien, Cassidy, Avery; siblings, Mollie (Roger) Legere, Riverview, Mary Murphy, Port Elgin, Colleen (Lou) Costello, Mississauga, ON, Michael (Jan), Mississauga, ON, Shaun (Shelley), Melrose, NB

Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother, Patrick, brother in law George Romano.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, Port Elgin and Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).  Visiting hours will take place at their Port Elgin location, 3 West Main St on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.  Funeral Mass will take place at the St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 11:30 am, Father Charles Broderick officiating.  Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
