It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marolyn Joanne Van Geel-Stokes, 75, of Sackville on Friday, October 28, 2022 at the Moncton Hospital.  Marolyn was born in Sackville, a daughter of the late Vernon and Phyllis (Wry) Estabrooks.

Marolyn was an active member of the Main Street Baptist Church, and a proud member of their choir.

She loved painting, singing and collecting angel figurines.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who very much enjoyed spending time with her family.

Marolyn will be dearly missed by her husband, Johannes Van Geel, Sackville; two daughters, Lorri Stokes of Moncton, and Lindi (Laurie) Dean of Moncton; two sons, John (Alicia) of Moncton, and Rodney (Jennifer) of Hammonds Plains, NS; six grandchildren, John Adam, Justin (Meaghan), Nicole (Daniel), Amanda (Sarah), Stephanie (Drew), and Noah, as well as six great grandchildren, Kayden, Everleigh, Lyla, John Luke, Hunter, and Mason.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).   A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 6-8 pm followed by a funeral on Thursday at 3 pm.  Pastor Andrew Swanson presiding.  Following the service, Marolyn will be laid to rest with her parents in the Westcock Cemetery.
