Peacefully at the Drew Nursing Home, Doris (Dooie) Mary McAllister, 96, of Sackville passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022.  Born in Sackville she was the daughter of George and Mary (Hoar) Lawrence.

Dooie enjoyed sports her whole life, participating in her younger years and in later years as a fan. She loved her many summers spent at the trailer in Murray Corner with family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter Carol (Darrell) Cole, Moncton; sons John (JoAnne) McAllister, Amherst and Jeff (Carol Steele) McAllister, Sackville; three grandchildren, Natalie McAllister, Chris (Chloe) Cole, and Malcolm (Julie) Cole; two great grandchildren Ava and Read Cole; a sister-in-law Velma Crandall; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Charles R. McAllister, brother Robert Lawrence, sisters Dot Ritchie, Ethel (Betty)Lawrence, Mabel Mouland, and Marjorie (Marnie) LeMoine.

Special thanks to the staff at the Drew Nursing Home who were so good to her and made her time living there happy.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St, Sackville (506-364-1300). There will be no visiting hours, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Donations in memory of Doris may be made to the Drew Nursing Home or a charity of the donors choice.
