It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Yvonne (Blakney) Bembridge, age 75, of Wood Point, NB.  Yvonne passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on October 11th with family by her side.

Born in Riverview, NB, she was a daughter of the late Abel and Laura (Steeves) Blakney.

She was predeceased by her husband Boyd; her siblings Edward (Melda), Ruby (Ron), James (Ruth), Lawrence, Lloyd (aka Tim), Doug, Perley, Paul (Donna), Peter, and Kathleen.

The definition of strength, Yvonne was at the core of her family, church, and community.  She loved her children and grandchildren beyond measure. 

Yvonne will be dearly missed by her children Heather of Wood Point, Darlene of Saint John, William (Carolyn) of Sackville and Tina (Chris) Milner of Wood Point; grandchildren Kara (Marcus Edel), Kali, Mya, Boyd, William’s step-daughter Kate and grandson Lael; siblings; Audrey (George) Horsman and Charles (Sandra) Blakney, in-laws; Barb Bembridge, Joan (Bembridge) Ovenden, Judy Blakney, Joan Blakney, Muriel Blakney, and many nieces and nephews.  

Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Jones Funeral Home (506-364-1300), 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB, where visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm.  Her funeral service will be held at the Jones Funeral Home on Friday at 2 pm with Pastor Morris Mills officiating.  Burial will follow in the Westcock Cemetery.
