It is with sadness we announce the passing of Kermath Cyril Stright, age 88, of Bayfield, NB.  Kermath passed away at the Albert House in Moncton on Monday, September 19, 2022.

Born in Murray Corner, he was a son of the late Harry and Sadie (Strongman) Stright.

Kermath was a lifelong fisherman and a former employee with Marine Atlantic with 28 years of service.  He was a member of the Bayfield United Church.  He loved time outside, hunting, clamming, and gardening.  He enjoyed time on the wharf mackerel fishing with friends.

He will be dearly missed by his son Randy (Shannon), Bayfield; a daughter, Kimberley (Danny) Landry, Moncton; two grandsons whom he loved dearly, Daniel and James; brother, Sheldon (Doreen) Merigomish, NS and sister, Joyce (late Donald) Clarke, Stickney, NB; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Gertrude (Smallwood); sister Doris Ricker; adopted sister Iona Stewart.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 12:30 until 2 pm, followed immediately at 2 pm by Kermath's funeral service, William Drysdale, DLM, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bayfield Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Kermath may be made to the Bayfield Cemetery, or a charity of the donor's choice
