The family of Joseph Frank
Lucci Jr. (74) are deeply saddened to announce his
peaceful passing at the Westford Nursing Home on Thursday, May 19,
2022.
He will be missed by his loyal wife of
45 years, Sandra, and his daughters Trina (Dave) Brosseau, Serena
(Aaron) Musil and his grandchildren Nathaniel and Madison
Brosseau. Also mourning Joe are his sister Deborah Jardine
and brother Chris (Cecilia) Lucci. Joe had many cousins, nephews,
nieces and dear friends that are also grieved at his
passing.
He was predeceased by his mother Olive,
father Joseph Sr., brother Allan, infant brother Ricky, his nephew
Kevin and his niece Aleisha.
In his younger years Joe enjoyed
basketball, softball, 4-wheeling and taking motorcycle trips with
Sandra. His favorite activity was always playing cards with his family
and his annual 200 tournament.
Joe worked at the Dorchester
Penitentiary for many years. During that time he sustained a work
related injury that left him increasingly disabled as the years
passed. His interests became more focused on spending time with
people, going to movies and dinners and road trips and especially
having loved ones gather at his and Sandra’s home in Baie
Verte. Their home was the central gathering point for the family for
many holidays, events and parties. Joe loved "holding court"
and weaving one of his many colorful stories to shock and entertain
his gathered crowd.
Please join his loved ones as they
celebrate his life on Sunday, May 29, from 2-4 p.m. at Jones Funeral
Home, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin. Interment to follow immediately
after at the Baie Verte cemetery for family and close
friends.
Donations in memory of Joseph may be
made to the charity of your choice.
