It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Norma Jean (Wry) Hicks, age 87, of Sackville, NB.  Norma passed away at the Drew Nursing Home on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Sackville, NB, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Myrtle (Estabrooks) Wry.

Norma was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church and the Sackville Senior Citizens Club.  She was a dedicated wife and mother as well as an adopted mother to many neighbourhood children and extended family.  She had a deep love of nature and enjoyed gardening and camping.

Norma will be sadly missed by three sons Dana (Terry), Midgic, Andrew (Starr), Sackville and Matthew (Deirdre), Amherst; one daughter, Pam Hicks, Sackville; grandchildren, Adam (Gloria), Shalyn (Blaine), Alex, Sarah (Timothy), Lacey (Kyle), Tessa (Branden), Devin (Mandy), Taylor (Sean), Nolan (Charlie), Jade, and Amber; great granddaughters, Willow and Clara, Josie, Natalya, and a baby due in November; sisters, Rachel Tower, Carolyn Hicks, and a brother, Donald Wry.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Vaughan; daughter, Andrea; sisters, Betty, Irene, Katherine, Evelyn, Gloria, and Phyllis, and a brother, Horace.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300) from where family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 12 pm until the time of the funeral at 2 pm.  Interment will follow at the Westcock Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Norma may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the Midgic Baptist Church.
