It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth "Betty" (Turner) Crowe, 91, of Truro, NS, and formerly of Sackville, NB, on Monday, April 18, 2022 at the Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro.

Born in Upper Dorchester, NB, March 14, 1931, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Turner) Hastie.

Betty was an accomplished cook and baker who learned the trade at Marshland's Inn, Sackville, NB.  She also worked at Porter's Bakery, and was a manager at Sears Restaurant, Moncton, and the Zeller's Skillet.  She loved to entertain and was known for her tea parties.  She was an active member of St. James Presbyterian Church, and the Ladies Morning Auxiliary.  Betty was proud of her heritage and was a member of the Colchester Scottish Society.

A kind hearted, Christian woman, she will be missed by all who knew her.

Betty will be sadly missed by her son, Larry (Dianna) Turner, Truro; her granddaughter, Ashley (John Allen) Turner, Truro; her great grandchildren, Hannah and Grayson Allen, both of Truro; her siblings, Ella (late Glen) Ripley, and Agnes (late Roderick) Read, both of Upper Nappan, NS, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her first husband, Douglas Turner; her second husband, Lloyd Crowe; her brothers, John, William (Doris), and Alex (Betty), and her sisters, Margaret (James) and Helen (Andrew).

The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff at the Cedarstone Enhanced Care for their wonderful compassion and care for Betty.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).  A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 1 pm until the time of the funeral at 2 pm.  Interment will take place in the Baie Verte Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Betty may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
