It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emerise Marie Cormier, 91, of Port Elgin, NB, on Thursday, April 7, 2022.  Born in Shemogue, Emerise was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mathilde (Legere) Cormier.

Emerise was an active member of the St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church parish and the church council.

She was formerly employed with Lounsbury Co., Esso, and Hannah's Ltd., in Richibucto, NB  She volunteered for many years with the Canadian Red Cross and Canadian Diabetes Association.

Emerise will be sadly missed by her sister, Emma;  her sister-in-law, Jeannine; her nephew, Marc (Dawn) and great niece Emma, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Rita and Mabel, as well as her brothers, Leo and Fred.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Homes, Sackville and Port Elgin, NB.  A funeral mass for Emerise will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, Port Elgin.  Interment will take place in the parish cemetery in the spring.
