May Duguay, 74, of the Villa Providence, Shediac, and formerly of Shemogue, NB, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 18, 2022 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital.  Born in Petit-Cap, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Rita (Donelle) LeBlanc.

May was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was deeply caring and devoted to her family as well as her community and many friends.  It gave her great joy to see people smile and to make them laugh.

May is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gerald; her two sons, Norbert (Monique), and Gerald Jr. (Debra); five grandchildren, Celina (Josh), Christien (Caitlin), Manuel (Belinda), Jéremie, and Stéphanie, and her two great-grandchildren, Kayden and Karina.  She is also survived by her sisters, Clémentine (Georges) Hébert and Claudette (late Azor) Vautour, and a brother, Charles (Maria) LeBlanc.

Besides her parents, May was predeceased by three sisters, Florine Doiron, Alfreda Doiron, and Norma LeBlanc, as well as two brothers, Roger, in infancy and Roger.

A special thank you is extended to all the staff at Villa Providence, Shediac, for the exceptional care and love given to May.  In addition, the family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Homes, Port Elgin and Sackville, NB.  There will be no visitation.  The funeral mass for May will be celebrated at Ste-Therese d'Avila Church, Cap-Pelé, NB, on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 11 am.  At the request of the family, wearing masks would be appreciated.
