It is with heavy hearts that we
announce the passing of our son, Pierre Malloy after a lengthy
illness. Pierre passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on
January 28, 2022, at the age of 56.
Born in Fredericton he was the son of
Wayne and Julia (Power) Malloy.
Beside his parents, Pierre is survived
by his beloved and devoted wife of 27 years, Tara; his sister Lynne
(James); his precious niece Holly; his aunts and uncles, Ella
(Maurice) Raymonde (Jeannot), Anita, Maria, Janet, Dean (Lynne),
Carol, Sharon, and Linda, along with many cousins. He is also survived
by his father-in-law, David Wells; brothers-in-law, Trevor and Corey
(Gillian); niece Abby; nephew Caleb; and aunt-in-law,
Wendy.
He was predeceased by his aunts and
uncles Patsy, Patrick, Jean Paul and Jack; and his mother-in-law,
Solveig.
Pierre was a beloved, kind, thoughtful
and generous man, who had a positive impact on the people around him.
He will be remembered by all his coworkers and staff as a curious and
intelligent man with a steel trap of a memory, and a twisted sense of
humour. He had many career paths in his life, including working as a
newspaper journalist all over New Brunswick and the Northwest
Territories; a shopkeeper; a production designer; and he capped his
career with a long run as manager of a college radio station in
Sackville, NB. He was an artist at heart, as well as a life-long
learner. He was a joy to be around, and will be dearly
missed.
There will be no funeral service. In
lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to help sustain
independent news reporting at CHMA FM radio in Sackville, NB by
