It is with profound sadness that after a courageous
battle with cancer, a husband, father and grandfather,
William "Bill" Durant passed
away at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, age 82, on January 22,
2022.
Left to mourn is Bill's beloved spouse, Paulette of
58 years, daughter Michelle (Graham), son John (Nadine) and cherished
granddaughters, Olivia Grace Durant and Laura Claire Durant. Bill is
also survived by his sisters Margaret Beaver and Hermine LeBlanc, as
well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by siblings John Durant and
Josephine Boyd.
Bill will be remembered by the community for his 35
years at Mount Allison University and Tantramar Regional High School
where he thoroughly enjoyed his profession and students. He equally
enjoyed his volunteering as a Town Councilor, and member of many
groups and committees. It was his passion to improve lives of others
as best he could through better education.
Arrangements have been entrusted into
