It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Anita Mary Brine, 95, of Sackville, NB, on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the Drew Nursing Home.  Anita was born June 28, 1926, a daughter of the late Mack and Lena (Cormier) Legere.

Anita was Maritimer Of The Week with CTV for her generous donations to Christmas Cheer of homemade knitted mittens for children. She was a kind and generous lady who will be dearly missed by her loving family.

She is survived by her daughters, Helen Brideau, Leona Hollis, Anne Hartley, and Jane McWhirter; her sons, Gerry Brine, Edgar Brine Jr., and Ronald Brine; her sister, Lorraine Brine; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides hers parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edgar Brine; a daughter in infancy, Yvonne; as well as a brother, Peter Legere, a great grandson, Tyler Fillmore and a great granddaughter, Cassandra Brine.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300).  Honouring Anita's wishes, cremation has taken place.  A private graveside service will take place at a later date.

Donations in memory of Anita may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
