It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Lloyd James Moores, P. Eng, age 89, of Sackville, NB.  Lloyd passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville, NB.

Born in St. John's, NL, he was a son of the late J. Charles and Florence (Morgan) Moores.

Lloyd's career in engineering took him to all parts of Canada and the United States.  He was a member of the Sackville United Church.  He was a longtime member of the Scottish Rite, the Masonic Lodge, including the St. John's Tasker Lodge #454 S.C., Past Master of the Lebanon Lodge, and member of the Sussex Lodge #4 F & AM.   Lloyd has always been very active in multiple organizations, in every community he lived.  He enjoyed his summers at the family cottage in Murray Corner, NB.

He will be dearly missed by his wife Mary of Sackville; 2 daughters, Joanne Moores, Halifax, NS and Heather Moores (Michael Walton), Westcock, NB; brother, Rev. Ralph (Shirley) Moores, St. John's, NFLD; brothers in law Gordon Williams, St. John's NL, and Carl (Kathy) Williams, Quispamsis, NB as well as many special nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB  (506-364-1300).  A public graveside service will be held in the Sackville Cemetery on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 4 pm, all are welcome to attend.

For those who wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, the Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, or a charity of your choice.
