With profound sadness we announce the
passing of Barbara Doris Lowerison, 94,
of Sackville, NB, on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Sackville Memorial
Hospital. Barb was an exceptional human being, remarkably kind,
generous, pleasant to everyone, competent, hard-working, always
active, adored by her family, and who lived a full and independent
life up until March 2021 when a fall landed her in the
hospital.
Born on Feb 6, 1927 in Midgic, NB to
Clifford and Rebecca (Phinney) Richards, Barb was the eldest child of
the family. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Carvel
Richards, Oakley (Leona) Richards, Charlotte Oulton, and Ruth (Jim)
Murray. She married James Eldon Leland (Lee) Lowerison in 1950 and
lived in Sackville, NB for most of her life. She was predeceased by
Lee in 2000 and by her only son, Richard, in
2020.
She will be deeply missed by her
daughter-in-law Gretchen (Wentzell) Lowerison, her three grandchildren
Carin (Matt White), Michael, and Matthew (Elizabeth), and her three
great-grandchildren Berkeley, Heidrun, and Clementine White. She
enjoyed visits from them during the summer when they would travel from
Ontario.
Also grieving are nephews and nieces
Linda Richards, Deborah Richards, Rickey (Bev) Richards, Rhonda (Tim)
Kay, Belinda (Lonnie) Hunter, Crystal (John) Goodwin, Kelly Richards,
Stephen Oulton, Harold (Cynthia) Oulton, Lori (Scott) Hall, Julia
(David) Dulenty, David (Linda) Murray, Robert (Shelley) Murray,
Darlene (Gary) Fisher, Leslie (Lydia) Chapman, Kevin (Carlene)
Chapman, Ron (Brenda) Edgar, Patricia (Gord) McKenna, and Nora (Dave)
Godfrey; as well as numerous grand nephews and grand nieces. She will
also be deeply missed by her best friend since childhood, Kathleen
Wicks as well as countless friends and acquaintances. She truly was
loved by all who knew her.
