It is with sadness we announce the passing of Clarence Elliott King, of Cocagne, NB, formerly of Springhill, NS, and Sackville, NB.  Elliott went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Saturday, May 22, 2021, just 12 days before his 91st Birthday.

Elliott, youngest son of Clarence Elias King and Sarah (Cole) King was born in 1930 in Rockport, NB.

Elliott was a great outdoors man in his earlier years and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He will be fondly remembered for the interesting stories of his life adventures that he willingly shared; stories begging to be told again and again.  He enjoyed poetry and had an artistic talent for writing his own which he also loved to do.

In addition to many personal accomplishments, he led an interesting career life.  He began his working career in the family Lumber Mill for five years.  After 12 years working at the Enterprise Foundry in Sackville, NB, he received training for a position with the Federal Government, a career where he was honoured for his exemplary service.  He then went on to further education in engineering and professional studies in environmental wastewater management treatment systems after which he served in the management of the treatment plant for several years.  He retired from the Federal Government in 1989 after 25 years of service.

He enjoyed music and took on the role as the pianist at church for several years.  In these last few years, however, even with his declining health remained steadfast in his faith.  Elliott's spiritual life was a great testimony for all that knew him.  Elliott trusted his Lord implicitly, believing the verse from Psalms 103:11, "For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His steadfast love toward those that fear Him."

Elliott went to be with his Lord whom he trusted at the age of 29, and for 62 years Elliott's faith never wavered.  Elliott loved his Saviour and remained faithful to the end.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. Psalm 116:15

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 71 years, the former Alice Marie Ward; son Eric (Ethel) King, Cocagne, NB; daughter, Lorna (Gary) Stewart, New Glasgow, NS; grandchildren Evan, Kimberley, Graham, Jamie, Lori Ann, Leanna and Bradley;  great grandchildren Allison, Annaliese; many extended family and friends who held a very special place in his heart.  He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers Ivan and Adrian; sisters Ardoine, Reta and Sylvia.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300).    A public funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 2 pm, Pastor Phil Seely officiating.  Preregistration is required, call or email the funeral home to do so.  In keeping with Covid-19 restrictions, please respect Social Distancing guidelines.  Masks are required.  For those unable to attend, the funeral will be streamed live to his obituary.  Interment will take place in the Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton.

Donations in memory of Elliott may be made to the Charity Bible Baptist Church in Moncton, or People's Gospel Hour, or a charity of your choice.
