It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gertrude Isabell Stright, 82, of Bayfield, NB on Sunday May 16, 2021 at the Moncton Hospital. Gertrude was born in Cape Tormentine, a daughter of the late Ernest and Pearl (MacGlashing) Smallwood.

Gertrude was a former manager at the gift shop in the Cape Tormentine Ferry Terminal, and a  member of the Bayfield United Church.  She enjoyed going to the camp and attending the local dances.  Gertrude was a kind soul with a lot of strength and faith. She enjoyed a good game of cards, was an avid knitter, and loved going to BINGO.  Her greatest joy in life was her husband, her children and her grandchildren

Gertrude will be dearly missed by her husband of sixty-three years, Kermath Stright, Bayfield, NB; a son Randy (Shannon), Bayfield, a daughter, Kimberley (Danny) Landry, Moncton; two grandsons, Daniel & James, as well as her brother Clifford (Darlene) Smallwood, Cape Tormentine, her brother-in-law, Sheldon (Doreen) Stright and sister-in-law, Joyce (late Donald) Clarke..

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Edward and her sister-in-law, Pauline.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300).  A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 12:30 pm until the time of the funeral at 2 pm.  Interment to follow in the Bayfield Cemetery.  Rev.
