It is with profound sadness that the family of Leola Doreen Trenholm announce her peaceful passing on March 6, 2021, at the age of 99 years old.  Born in Bayfield, N.B., Leola was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Spence) Trenholm.  Leola married the late Percy Trenholm and moved to Sackville, N.B. to raise her family.  

"Our Grammy" will be forever remembered by her infectious laugh, huge garden, and especially her wonderful turkey suppers.  Undoubtedly her pride and joy was her family.  She lived beside her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Susan (Fillmore)Trenholm, who graced her with three granddaughters.  The granddaughters (Christina, Stacey and Amy Trenholm) were privileged to grow up beside their "Grammy Gru" and experienced unconditional love.

Aside from the above mentioned people, Grammy is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Rob) and Arliss Trenholm; her grandsons Adam and Kevan Silversides, and her great granddaughter Madison DuPont.  

In her earlier years, she was the church organist, and would laugh and say she had the title but not the qualifications.  In her later years, Leola became known as "Grammy" to the many people who walked through her front door.

Leola loved poetry.  She was the family matriarch and the last surviving member of her generation.  

She will never be forgotten, and will be forever missed and loved by the people who knew her heart and soul.   God blessed Grammy for all the love and hugs.    We were the privileged ones, and are proud to call you "our grammy". 

Cremation has taken place.  A private celebration of Leola’s Life has been scheduled for April 16, 2022.
