It is with sadness we announce the
passing of Sadie Elizabeth Fields, age
84, of Bayfield, NB. Sadie passed away on Monday, March 8,
2021 at the Westford Nursing Home with her family by her
side.
Born in Bayfield, NB, she was the
daughter of the late Waldo and Donella (MacDonald) Ash.
Sadie spent 27 years as a Postmistress
in Bayfield, enjoyed needlework, crocheting, knitting and quilting but
would spend countless hours during the summer months tending to her
much beloved vegetable and flower gardens, and spoiling her
grandchildren for which she was extremely proud of.
Sadie will be dearly missed by her
husband Lysle; daughter Sherry Spence of Moncton; son, Randy (Donna)
Field of Miscouche, PE; four grandchildren, Jessica (Shawn) Field
Allen; Amanda (Daniel) Archibald; Nicholas (Karine) Spence; Kyle
(Chantal) Spence; two sisters, Loretta Field of Bayfield, NB,
and Norma (Lysle) Spence of Nauwigewauk, NB, along with many
nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by an infant
daughter, Shelly; son in law Douglas Spence; and her brother,
Kenneth.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Jones Funeral Home, Sackville and Port Elgin, NB
(506-364-1300). A public funeral service will be held at
Jones Funeral Home's Port Elgin facility, 3 West Main
St., on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 1 pm, Rev. Carolyn
Rushton officiating. Pre-Registration is required by calling
or emailing the funeral home office. Due to COVID 19
restrictions, masks and social distancing are required at all
times. The funeral will be available to watch online by 5 pm
by visiting her obituary on the funeral home website. Burial
will follow in the Bayfield Cemetery.
