It is with deep sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Laurie Layton Trenholm, age 78, of Murray Corner, NB.  Laurie passed away at home on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.

Born in Cape Spear, NB, he was a son of the late Eldard and Myrtle (Allen) Trenholm.

Laurie was a lifelong fisherman.  He was a wonderful husband to his wife Judy for over 50 years.  He loved the outdoors and was always successful when he went trout fishing.  He was an excellent hunter and often brought home deer, moose, geese and ducks.

He will be dearly missed by his wife Judy of Murray Corner, NB; daughter Tanya Vinton, Murray Corner, NB; 3 grandchildren Douglas, Kyla and Hallie; great granddaughter Maria; sisters Evelyn Trenholm, Frances Robertson and Vivian Allen (Blaine Richards); half-brother David (Joyce) Trenholm; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his son Kevin.

A special thanks to Wallace and Meredith Lake for being there to help anytime Judy or Laurie needed anything at all.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, Sackville and Port Elgin, NB (506-364-1300).  Cremation has taken place.  Laurie's ashes will be interred beside his son Kevin in the Bayfield Cemetery at a later date.

Donations in memory of Laurie may be made to the Bayfield Cemetery, or the charity of your choice.
