It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of our beloved Holly Anne Reade-Futter, 56, of Upper Cape, NB. Born in Sackville, Holly was a daughter of the late John and Wilma (Corbett) Reade.
Holly was a devoted and giving person. She was the self proclaimed gossip queen and considered herself as "Hotline-Holly". She was an avid gardener of flowers and the greenhouse was her sanctuary, second only to the kitchen where she loved to bake. She would never turn down a visit with anyone or a good game of cards and if you left her home hungry, it was your own fault.
Her jokes and daily chats at Soper will be missed by everyone.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Everyone who knew Holly, knew that she was full of love for friends and family.
Words cannot express how dearly she will be missed by her husband of 17 years and companion of 27 years, Wilco Futter; three children, Bradley (Tia) Melanson, Courtney Reade, and Jake Reade-Futter; three grandchildren, Mylah, Lexen, and Rowan, as well as her expected and much anticipated fourth grandchild. She is also survived by her sibllings, Frank (Theresa) Reade, Jack (Wanda) Reade, Debbie Rogerson, Bill (Arlene) Reade, Steven (Patti) Reade, Heather Reade, Cathy (Jimmy) Noonan, and Jeff (Chris) Reade; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, co-workers and close friends.
Besides her parents, Holly was predeceased by her brother, Daryl, and her brother-in-law, James Rogerson.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300). Cremation has taken place and there is to be no visitation or services at this time. A celebration of Holly's life will be held at a later date to be announced.
Donations in memory of Holly may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Condolences, and sharing of memories may be sent to the family by visiting Holly's online memorial at www.jonesfuneralhome.ca or through the Jones Funeral Home Facebook Page.
