It is with great sadness that we
announce the passing of Frances "Fan"
Charlotte Selby, 94, of Port Elgin, and formerly of
Cape Tormentine, NB, at the Westford Nursing Home on Tuesday, December
8, 2020. Born in
Beach Point, PEI, Frances was a daughter of the late Montford and Mary
(MacIntosh) Herring.
Fan loved having company. Her home was always open for
anyone who wished to drop in and there would always be someone
visiting. She
enjoyed knitting and playing cards and was deeply devoted to spending
time with her friends and family.
Fan will be dearly missed by her two
sons, Frank (Pat),
Summerside, PE and Scott (Carol), Cape Tormentine; seven
grandchildren, Todd (Angela) Selby, Frank Selby, Jana Selby, Peggy
(Joe) Dunville, Kent (Kelly) Dunville, Corey (Hayley) Selby and Julie
(John) Farrell; thirteen great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Donna
Herring, Ada Herring and Arlene Herring; a brother-in-law, Gordon
Peardon, as well as several nieces and nephews and extended
family.
Besides her parents, Fan was predeceased
by her husband, Frank; a daughter Barbara Ann; a grandson, Paul; five
brothers, Louis, Hilton, Stranberg, Allan, and Laurie and six sisters,
Louise Cahoon, Marceline Blackett, Una Martin, Catherine Skerry, Wells
MacGlashing and Jean Peardon.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Jones Funeral Homes,
Sackville & Port Elgin, NB (506-364-1300). A graveside service will take
place at the Bayfield Cemetery on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 12:00 pm.

guidelines.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the
staff of the Countryside Residence, Port Elgin and the Westford
Nursing home for their wonderful compassion and care of
Fan.
