Bowers, Matthew Shane, (Sneaky Pete), 64 of Sackville N.B, entered heaven peacefully on November 8th in Moncton City Hospital after a brief illness.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. 

Matthew was born in Lunenburg, N.S to Thomas and Nita Barbara Bowers (Begin) on March 25, 1956. He was a long-term resident at Fairfield Special Care home in Sackville, N.B.

Matthew is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Sarah. Most recently his great niece Bria White and brother in-law Mike Moore. 

Matthew is survived by brother Tom (Sharon), Bridgewater, N.S, Danny, Chalk River, Ontario, sisters Barb (John), Calgary, Alberta and Bridgid, Dartmouth, N.S. and his special cousin Stefan (Sue), Spry Harbour, N.S and his Aunt Lenora Begin, Mahone Bay. N.S. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces Baleigh (Jacob) and Brooklyn and his little great nephew Wyatt who all held a special place in his big heart.

Matthew was an amazing musician who idolized Jimmy Hendrix. His guitar skills were exceptional, and his love of music was a life-long passion.

A special thank you to Randy and Vicki Mcculley for the many years of caring for Matthew and holding his hand while he passed into heaven. A special thank you to the special care nurses and doctors in Moncton City Hospital Surgical ICU. Thank you to Gilles Savoie and Tom Lorette for their prayers with Matthew as he left this world.

Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Sackville, N.B. (506-364-1300).  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Matthew's name to Moncton City Hospital, Surgical ICU.
