It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Richard Albert "Richie" Ward, 67, of Westcock, NB.  Richie passed away at his home on Saturday, October 3, 2020.  Born in Sackville, Richie was a son of the late George and Melissa (Amos) Ward.

Richie was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.  In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons and brothers.  His weekend routine included many card games with his brothers and taking long country drives.  Richie was quick with a joke and to tease.  He adored his time with this grandchildren and would stop at nothing to help them or to be a part of their lives.  He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.

Richie leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Debbie (nee MacDonald), of Westcock; two sons, Rick (Angie), of Moncton and Jimmy (Stephanie), of Oxford, NS; his grandchildren, Chloe, Connor, Ruby and Hadley; his brother Curtis (Barb), of Sackville, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family and close friends.

Besides his parents, Richie was predeceased by five brothers, Ernie, Bob, Rollie, Tom, and Keith.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300).  Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at the Westcock Cemetery on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 2 pm.  Rev. Lloyd Bruce presiding.  All are welcome to attend, please bring your masks and respect social distancing protocols.
