It is with sadness that we announce the death of Florence Mary Trenholm, on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, just eight days before her 86th birthday.  Born in Port Elgin, Florence was a daughter of the late Emery and Rosie (Colburn) Leger.

Florence had been an active member of the CGIT and the church, as well as having volunteered with Meals on Wheels for many years.  She was an avid gardener and enjoyed her time working with flowers and vegetables.  She had worked at the Strathcona Hotel, as well as several other local businesses and then finishing out her working life at Allen's Petro Can in Timber River.Florence was a dedicated and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She will by sadly missed by, two sons, Randy (Frances) Trenholm, Timber River, NB, and Danny (Lori) Trenholm, Riverview, NB; two grandchildren, Megan (Mike) Barnett and Adam (Janice Boudreau) Trenholm; one great granddaughter, Lennon Barnett; two sisters, Eileen Allen and Oneiva Allen and a brother, Lawrence (Rose) Leger; a brother-in-law, Robert (Linda) Trenholm; a sister-in-law, Lillian Trenholm, as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph; brothers, Kenneth and Paul; a sister Charmaine, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Homes, Sackville and Port Elgin, NB.  Honouring Florence's wishes, cremation has taken place.  A graveside service will take place at the Fernwood Cemetery on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 11 am.   Please bring a mask and respect social distancing guidelines.

Donations in memory of Florence may be made to the Fernwood Cemetery, The Sackville Memorial Hospital Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
