It is with sadness that we announce the death of George William LeBlanc, 90, of Petit-Cap, NB.  George passed away at his home on Friday, May 15, 2020.  Born in Petit-Cap, he was a son of the late William and Minnie (Cormier) LeBlanc.

George was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His family was his life.  He had fished lobster, herring, and crab until the age of 88.  In addition, he had also enjoyed many years of boat building .  During his later years, he especially loved sharing his passion for music and dancing. He was definitely young at heart.

George is survived by his wife, Margaret (nee Aasen); six children, Joanne (Daniel) Landry, Robichaud Office, Gerry (Nancy),  Cormier Village, Jean Bourque, Shediac, Jeannette (Tommy) Halloran, Trois-Ruisseaux, Richard (Monique), Moncton, and Karen (Robert) Wells, Sackville; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a brother Billy (Bernice), Petit Cap; and his sisters Dorothy Jacob, Dieppe and Marie (Henry) Fougere, Petit Cap.

Besides his parents, George was predeceased by two sisters Lizzy Landry and Emma Cormier.

Arrangements have been entrusted into the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main Street, Port Elgin (506-364-1300).  A time of visitation will be held in the hall of the Église de Sainte-Thérèse-D'Avila, Cap-Pele, NB on Friday, November 6, 2020 from 6-9 pm and on Saturday, from 9 am until the time of the funeral at 10:30 am.  The funeral will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Église de Sainte-Thérèse-D'Avila, Cap-Pele with interment to follow in the Saint-Timothée Parish Cemetery, Shemogue.  Please bring your masks and respect social distancing protocols.

Donations in memory of George may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
